Tyrod Taylor seeks $5 million in malpractice suit against Chargers team doctor

Tyrod Taylor has filed a medical malpractice lawsuit against Los Angeles Chargers team doctor David S. Gazzaniga and the Newport Orthopedic Institute.

Taylor was sidelined just prior to the Chargers’ Week 2 game in 2020 when a pain-killing injection was administered, puncturing his lung.

Taylor's lawyers also argue that Gazzaniga's "negligence or carelessness, as well as other illegal, tortious and improper actions ... caused Taylor to lose the position of the starter quarterback for the Los Angeles Chargers for the 2020 season.
